BRIGHT: Brushing RemInder 4 Good oral HealTh: the clinical and cost-effectiveness of a Short Messaging Service behaviour change programme to improve the oral health of young people living in deprived areas

Brushing Reminder 4 Good oral Health (BRIGHT) is a trial that aims to establish the clinical and cost-effectiveness of a short classroom based session (CBS) embedded in the curriculum and series of text messages, compared to no education and no text messages, on tooth decay.

The findings of this trial will inform national policy for oral health in secondary schools. The lesson pack developed for the CBS has been given the quality mark by the PSHE Association and is freely available to download (BRIGHT dental health lesson pack (pshe-association.org.uk)
