Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Our overarching aim is to: Support people-powered research to tackle inequalities and improve health and well-being for all our diverse communities. We are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion in everything we do through our research, communities and impacts.

We are currently developing our Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy. This strategy will support us to deliver research which takes account of intersectionality and engages with those who are under-represented or under-served to ensure seldom heart voices play an equal part in all parts of evidence-based health and social care delivery and decision making. It embeds the principle of ‘no decision about me, without me’ into the research culture of the YHARC.
