NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Yorkshire and Humber (YHARC) is seeking members of the public to join our PPIE group. We’re looking for 7-9 people who live and work in Yorkshire and Humber to help shape the future of health research in our region.

 

What are NIHR ARCs?

NIHR Applied Research Collaborations (ARCs) conduct applied health research in collaboration with the health and care sector alongside patients and members of the public. ARCs also help implement research evidence into practice and provide funding and training.

Your involvement will help us make our research more relevant, accessible, and impactful for the communities that we serve. Your lived experience and insights are invaluable in ensuring our work truly matters to local people.

Our research focuses on four key areas:

  • Older People
  • Urgent Care
  • Healthy Families
  • Mental Health

 

What Will You Be Asked to Do?

Attend 3-4 meetings a year, either online or face to face, where you’ll:

  • Advise and support the development of research projects
  • Share your perspectives on what matters to communities
  • Help ensure research is accessible and meaningful

 

Will I Get Paid?

Yes! You’ll be compensated for your time and any travel or expenses.
