Megan Wood is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Leeds, collaborating with the Bradford Institute for Health Research and Born in Bradford’s Centre for Applied Education Research. Her work integrates neuroscience, education, and health data to understand how social determinants influence children’s development and outcomes using large cohort and routinely-collected public service data. She was awarded her PhD from the University of Leeds where her project explored the sociodemographic influences on children’s sensorimotor development, using data from the Born in Bradford cohort. She is also a Series Executive Editor on the series of Child of the North reports which highlighted actionable policy recommendations for Government to create a country that works for all children and young people.
