Dr Sahdia Parveen is an Associate Professor at the University of Bradford’s Centre for Applied Dementia Studies. Her research centres on dementia care, health inequalities, and implementation science, with a particular focus on minority ethnic communities and family carers.
Her work spans the development and evaluation of interventions to improve dementia care, including education and training, behaviour change, and the design and validation of outcome measures. She has a strong track record of collaborative and co-produced research, ensuring that the voices of people affected by dementia are central to the design and delivery of her work.
Dr Parveen is a member of the NIHR Policy Research Unit in Dementia and Neurodegenerative Conditions and co-leads the dementia sub-theme within the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration.
