Jo Coster

Senior Research Fellow

Jo is a senior research fellow and the Deputy Director of the Centre for urgent and emergency care research (CURE). Jo is also Deputy Section Head for the Health Services Research Section, PPIE lead for the School of Medicine and Population Health, PPIE Champion for ARC2 Care Closer to Home theme and co-leads PPI for the NIHR Evidence Synthesis Centre, EnSygN.

Jo’s research focuses on the quality, safety and patient experience of primary, urgent and prehospital care. She recently led an evaluation of patient experience of extended access GP hubs and is a co-applicant and leading PPIE for an NIHR study to understand the scale, impact and care trajectory for patients who have a long lie after a fall.

Jo also leads an MSc module, Innovative Research Methods for Impact, for the Health and Clinical Research Delivery MSc programme.
