Overview

Showcase of research and innovation exemplars from across South Yorkshire alongside innovators supporting South Yorkshire’s Big Ambitions

Hosted by the South Yorkshire Innovation Hub, South Yorkshire ICB, Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humber, and sponsored by B Braun, The South Yorkshire Research & Innovation Expo 2026 , is a bold, two-day event convening research, innovation and lived experience to drive health equity and inclusive economic growth across the region.

This will be the largest health innovation gathering in South Yorkshire, for senior leaders, innovators, clinicians, researchers, policymakers and community partners to hear about great work taking place across the region and network with peers to support the spread of research and innovation across South Yorkshire.

The programme will feature:

  • High-profile plenaries
  • Labs and workshops
  • Strategic roundtables
  • Exhibition marketplace

The event will be aligned to South Yorkshire’s Bold Ambitions Framework.

Day 1 (6th October): Magna Science Centre, Magna Way, Templeborough, Rotherham S60 1FD

The first day of the Expo will focus on the following Ambitions: Prevention (sponsored by Optum), Workforce, and Economic Participation.

Day 2 (7th October): National Centre for Child Health Technologies, Olympic Legacy Park, Sheffield, S9

The second day of the Expo will focus on Children and Young People, showcasing the newly built NCCHT.
