Supporting people living with frailty from South Asian backgrounds

Frailty can lead to poorer wellbeing if individuals and families are not adequately supported. The aim of this study is to investigate perceptions of frailty and the support needs of those living with frailty within South Asian communities. The project aims to gain an in depth knowledge of support needs and preferences of individuals and family members, with a view to make recommendations and inform high quality, culturally tailored, frailty services which facilitate independence and increase wellbeing for this population.

Shabana is based within Faculty of Health Studies/ Centre for Applied Dementia Studies at University of Bradford.
