Suzanne Ablard

Research Associate

Suzanne is a qualitative researcher with an interest in evaluating complex health services, particularly within urgent and emergency care systems. Her previous work has focused on understanding how services are experienced by both patients and the staff who deliver care, and how these insights can be used to inform meaningful and sustainable improvements in service delivery.  Suzanne is currently undertaking an NIHR Doctoral Research Fellowship exploring the experiences of families whose children receive care through Hospital at Home services. Using a realist inquiry approach, her research seeks to understand how care delivered in the home setting affects families, for whom and under what circumstances these services work best, and how they can be improved to better meet the needs of children and their families.
