JU:MP (Join Us: Move Play) has been funded by Sport England to test and learn more about tackling inequalities in physical activity. For five years JU:MP took a whole systems approach to supporting children and families from multi-ethnic and underserved communities to be active. The whole systems approach involved working with families, communities and organisations and making improvements to the environment, as well as embedding physical activity in relevant policies and plans. Robustly researched Sport England have described the results of the pilot as “outstanding”. We will share the initial findings from the control trial and learning from the JU:MP journey.

Speakers:

Jan Burkhardt, Knowledge Mobilisation Lead for Children’s Physical Activity at Born in Bradford
Sally Barber, Director of Physical Activity at Born in Bradford.
