The above award offers funded opportunities to support individuals who want to increase their research knowledge and skills. The internships provide up to 30 days funding to your employer to allow you to step out of your current job to undertake the research internship. There are opportunities to either:
- Step into research
- Deliver leadership in research
- Grow in research
- Develop into a leading clinician or practitioner academic in research
While each pathway serves different professional circumstances, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be employed by an institution in Yorkshire and Humber
- Be a registered health care professional
- Demonstrate a commitment to professional development and service improvement through research
- Articulate clear aims for undertaking the internship and how it will benefit both personal practice and the wider team or service
- Obtain support from their line manager, to undertake the internship activities
- This internship supports research capacity building forming a fundamental part of the YHARC, Leeds BRC and other regional partners.
Health Care Professionals include nurses, midwives, allied health professionals, pharmacists and healthcare scientists
