Continuation: Youth Resilience Project

Share:

BiB researchers worked closely with 27 small community groups, sports groups, local activists, faith settings and schools, and young people from Barkerend neighbourhood in Bradford to coproduce a neighbourhood action plan on preventing youth violence. A Youth Forum is organised in the neighbourhood where young people prioritise and decide which activities should be delivered by community groups and activists to ensure young people grow up with positive experiences. Using a neighbourhood approach, schools, faith settings, sports and community groups are delivering activities to build resilience in young people against violence, drugs and anti-social behaviour. The project is working with young people (10-15 years) and neighbourhood based community groups.
