Large-Scale Acquisition of Electrical Brain Activity from the Born in Bradford Longitudinal Cohort

Share:

The Born in Bradford Brain project (BiB Brain) aims to engage an entire district in neuroscience research by utilising commercial-grade systems to image the brain through citizen-science data collection workshops with children and young people. By linking neural data with existing health and education records, the project seeks to explore factors influencing a happy and healthy brain throughout development. This data, along with its further integration, will inform policy and practice, serving as a valuable national resource to inspire additional research and interventions supporting the development of children and young people.

We will work alongside the school community, co-producing our research protocols and documentation with students, parents and teachers, tackling sampling biases sometimes present in neuroimaging research. Ultimately, BiB Brain aims to advance neural understanding, promote healthy brain development, and make neuroscience accessible and impactful.
