Shared CAIRE, a collaboration funded by the MPS Foundation, unites experts from the Improvement Academy at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the Assuring Autonomy International Programme at the University of York.
They are exploring how artificial intelligence (AI) can seamlessly collaborate with clinicians and patients in real-world healthcare scenarios, by testing various models for shared decision-making to address ethical and legal considerations. This project promises to aid long-term policy by shaping responsible AI adoption, informing regulations, and ensuring that AI enhances, rather than replaces, human expertise.
