Child Health and maternity implementation evaluation – implementation expertise

Share:

As part of a YHARC and PenARC collaboration, four Child Health and Maternity (CH&M) projects (BRUSH, ADAPT, ESMI III and RIVA) have been trying to understand the implementation of various CH&M interventions across various intervention settings. As an addition to this work, the YHARC implementation team have been conducting an evaluation of these four CH&M projects.

This rapid, relevant and responsive evaluation has shown that programme teams do not just extract data, rather they engage in numerous implementation strategies to support intervention sites. They also have to overcome numerous implementation barriers in order to achieve their programme goals. The results speak directly to what kind of funding and support the NIHR will need to give programme teams if they are to increase the chance of their programme having an impact on population health.
