Welcome to the next phase of the NIHR ARC for Yorkshire & Humber!

I’m delighted to mark the start of the second ARC for Yorkshire & Humber. This new phase represents our unwavering commitment to one clear priority: impact.

Everything we do will be guided by a simple question; does this make a meaningful difference to health, care, and wellbeing in our region? We’re here to ensure research doesn’t just generate knowledge, but transforms practice, informs policy, and improves lives across Yorkshire and Humber.

Our strength lies in partnership. Working alongside patients, practitioners, policymakers, and communities, we’ll focus on the real-world challenges our region faces—from persistent health inequalities to pressures on our care systems. Together, we’ll ensure that evidence drives change where it’s needed most.

Let’s make this next phase of NIHR ARC Yorkshire & Humber a powerful force for positive change, together.

Director, NIHR ARC Yorkshire & Humber
