Join us online for this engaging Lunch & Learn exploring the IRL (In Real Life) Trial – the world’s first large-scale randomised controlled trial investigating how reducing social media use impacts young people’s mental health.
Delivered in partnership between the Bradford Institute for Health Research, the University of Cambridge, and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and supported by NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Yorkshire and Humber (YH ARC), this study is set to begin this autumn.
This session will provide an accessible overview of the trial, why it matters, and how it contributes to our YH ARC Healthy Families theme- supporting the health and wellbeing of children, young people, and families in an increasingly digital world.
Guest Speaker:

Lila is a Trial Coordinator on the IRL Trial, investigating the impact of social media use on young people’s mental health. She has a quantitative research background, with an MSc in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
