Our Integrated Approach

Our approach to impact combines proven theory with practical hands-on support, helping turn research findings into real change for patients, services and communities across our region. We’ve developed a unique process that brings together knowledge mobilisation, communications, implementation science and quality improvement; The YH IMPACT Model (Implementation and Mobilisation in PrACTice) is a practical, five-stage process that turns impact planning into a habit for every project we support, underpinned by established knowledge mobilisation and implementation science theory. The Improvement Academy forms the implementation arm of YH ARC and works hand-in-hand with our knowledge mobilisation efforts. Whether supporting healthcare professionals planning for implementation or helping researchers study and evaluate implementation, this integrated model ensures research doesn’t just generate evidence—it creates change.

Everything this process generates; evidence, tools, case studies and solutions live in our Yorkshire & Humber Evidence Hub, so system partners, clinicians and commissioners can find and act on evidence when they need it.
